For natural finish (water based) sealers 1-2 hours after stone is visibly dry. For gloss finish sealers 24-48 hours after application.
For natural finish (water based) sealers 4 days after application. The same applies for gloss based applications.
For very dirty areas a pressure wash (not exceeding 2000 psi) can be effective. For general dirty areas a mild detergent and scrubbing every 6-12 months based on traffic. For light areas a general hosing should be enough.
Do not leave items likely to stain on the surface for an extended period of time. Stains should be removed as soon as they are noticed to reduce the possibility and or severity of staining.
Most of our sealers are designed to leave a perfectly natural finish. Slight darkening may occur in some stone depending on density and porosity. Gloss sealers will enhance/darken the stone they are applied to.
None of our sealers will stop any form of build up i.e dirt, mould, bore staining etc. They will make it easier to remove and also not allow the staining to achieve the depth it would have achieved on an unsealed surface.
Most of our sealers are natural finish sealers that sink into the stone and then cure. This leaves the normal rough texture you would have had prior to sealing therefore they are non slip.
The glossy range of sealers can aid in a surface being slippery due to less resistance. We recommend natural finish sealers if this is a concern.
Most of our sealers are designed to give coverage of 5m² to 1 litre. This scale should be applied to ensure adequate coverage.
